Mercedarian friar at the convent of Seville, Spain. With Blessed Pedro of Santa Maria, he was sent to north Africa where he ransomed many Christians who were enslaved by Muslims. While en route home to Spain, the friars were captured by Moorish pirates, and when they refused to renounce Christianity, they were thrown overboard. Martyr.
