Happy Easter from Blackfriars

3rd April 2021

Alleluia, Christ is Risen!

The prior and community would like to wish all of you, whether you join us in person or online for our liturgies, a very happy Easter. May the light of the Risen Lord shine through our troubles and anxieties, to bring us grace and peace.

Prayers and thanks

We continue to pray for you and your loved ones in these trying times, and of course for an end to the pandemic. We would also like to thank you for the many ways you continue to support us, from encouraging messages, offers of practical help, and your generous donations. All of you have contributed so much to our life in the Priory in recent times. We continue to be healthy and well, thank God, and hope that continues to be the case.

As usual, the collection from the Masses of Easter go more directly to the brethren, to allow them to travel to see friends and family. As restrictions ease, this will be an important time for many of the brethren, and will enable rest and relaxation after these long winter months. If you are able to make a donation, please follow this link.

Masses during the easter octave

Easter lasts for 50 days, but the first week after Easter is a special week when each day is celebrated as Easter Sunday, so if you haven’t been able to make Holy Mass on Easter Sunday, do join us at 6pm during the week as we continue to celebrate Easter. You can book in the normal way here.
