It is undeniable that Gloria.tv is a thorn in the side of those Church authorities who betray the Gospel e.g. with their manipulated synods and other schemes. But Gloria.tv is much more than that. It is a light of hope in the hearts of simple Christians who thirst for the unwatered wine of the Gospel.
If you can, please help Gloria.tv with your Christmas donation so that we can reach many, many people in 2024.

I will always be grateful to the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights for seeing past the myths and agendas about the sexual abuse crisis in the Church. They got to the truth, and boldly exposed it in Bill Donohue’s recent book, The Truth about Clergy Sexual Abuse.
If you are not a member of the Catholic League, please consider joining. It has done much to support the religious liberty of Catholics and has defended the reputations of Catholic priests falsely accused, including mine.
Most of our readers know that this blog began in the summer of 2009 as These Stone Walls. I had been invited by Bill Donohue to submit an article for the monthly Catholic League journal, …níos mó

He mentions Francis’ Abu Dhabi document, which wrongly claims that God positively wills non-Christian religions.
Francis is relativising moral teaching by adapting it to the immorality of the world so that the Church would become just another of the many organisations of this world.
Schneider noted that the supernatural atmosphere and beauty of the Roman Mass attracts young people, so that all over the world the Mass is packed with young families and children. Traditionis Custodes will not be able to stop the Mass, he predicts.
The removal of Bishop Strickland is for Schneider "a huge, blatant injustice". He explains that Francis wanted to silence Strickland who is a prophetic voice, an "obstacle" and an "unpleasant voice" for many in the Church.
On the other hand, Francis promotes prelates who publicly …níos mó

• Francis’ attempt to punish Burke is an “ugly affair” and an intolerable imitation of the way Latin American dictators deal with their opponents.
• To clean up the mess created by the news, Francis pulled a “new spokesman” out of his hat [= the Francis hagiographer Austen Iverigh].
• The People of God must accept in an act of faith what Iverigh says who has no official authority.
• The unmarried Ivereigh resigned as an adviser to Westminster Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor in 2006, after admitting to two affairs: one in 1989 which resulted in an abortion for which he paid half the cost, and a more recent one which resulted in a miscarriage (Specola, November 30).
• This episode in Francis’ tenure is “terribly sad” and “terribly worrying.”
• Badilla fears the worst of the abysses threatening the Church: to be a lawless institution.

Kpodzro left Togo shortly after the February 2020 presidential election, first for Ghana and then for Sweden. He had campaigned for the opposition.

Benedict said several times, “I can go now because there is no danger for the Church (sic!). When a wolf comes, the shepherd cannot leave. There is no danger. I can [go].” According to Gänswein, Benedict has never regretted his decision.
Benedict XVI never commented on Francis’ controversial synods of bishops. Gänswein respected his silence and never asked.
When Benedict heard about Francis' Traditionis custodes, he was “very, very sad.” Gänswein told Benedict in 2021 that TC would cause many problems. Benedict replied, “I hope God will help us.”

In these times of ecclesiastical ecologism, its 250 faithful (500 in summer) will have to travel 15km north-west to a less visible church, not served by public transport, on the outskirts of Quimper.
There are only 1,300 believers in Quimper (63,000 inhabitants), including Latin Mass Catholics.
The pretext for the eviction: There will be a Saturday evening Eucharist at Saint-Matthieu's – while the FSSP uses the church every day.
PaixLiturgique.org (November 30) quotes a Catholic who attends Mass and also takes part in the Eucharist, “They don't give a damn about Saint Matthieu's. Once the FSSP is gone, it will go back to the way it was before, which is to say empty and dirty.”
And: “What really annoys the parish of the centre of Quimper is that the Mass attracts young people, of whom there aren't so many anymore.”

It rejected an action brought by the Asociación de Abogados Cristianos, against the Spanish regime, claiming that there was nothing arbitrary in the Spanish judges' decision that the desecration did not constitute a crime.
The plaintiffs had brought a case against Abel Azcona, 35, who posed naked with 242 consecrated hosts in a disused church in Pamplona in 2015. He had picked them up at Novus Ordo Eucharists.
Azcona's performance was supported and financed by the city of Pamplona. The man has a history of mental problems, homosexual prostitution, drug use, petty crime and has been arrested several times for exhibitionism.
Much of Azcona's “work” consists of presenting himself naked and offering homosexual contact to viewers.
Unsurprisingly, the regime celebrates him as an “artist.”
