You've already heard that the United States Senate (51-48) derailed an amendment by Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) that would have reversed the Obama HHS mandate and restored the religious liberty protections for employers who don’t want to be forced to cover abortion, sterilization and birth control under employee health care plans. However, what you have not heard is is that 13 od the 24 Catholics in the United States Senate sided with the Obama Regime and against the Catholic Church in an effort to derail the Blunt Amendment.

The following is a list of how the 24 Catholic Senators voted on the Blunt amendment:
Senator Mark Begich (Alaska, D) - Opposed
Senator Lisa Murkowski (Alaska, R) - Supported
Senator Marco Rubio (Florida, R) - Supported

Just would like to know which is true. Here it is posted that Senator Susan Collins supported the bill but in CatholicVote.org, Collins opposed the bill.

This is actually a list of heretics, people doomed to burn in Hell for all eternity without a moment of rest; every second will be the most intense suffering for the people on this list. Not a smart "choice" they made!

Why are the bishops sitting so quietly and letting their authority be usurped? Obama has already said that he has spoken to “Catholic leaders,” such as “Sister” Keehan, a bunch of dissident priests, and members of various dissident lay organizations that call themselves Catholic...and he has completely skipped the bishops.

Personally, I think Obama is doing a Henry VIII and wants to set up his own version of the Catholic Church. He has obviously found a willing left-wing to do this for him, but the fault lies with the bishops...because for 40 years they have been silent while doctrine, morality and worship have been flouted within the Church itself (an area theoretically under their jurisdiction) and have now become a joke to the secular world.
St Augustine said that the road to Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops. These guys still have a chance to redeem themselves. So far, the only ones I can see doing so are Archbishop Chaput and Cardinal George.

Remember, when Henry VIII attacked the Church, there was only ONE bishop who refused to go along, St John Fisher. (Note-
Thomas More wasn’t a bishop.)
-----------------------------------------------

The problem is that the bishops as a group never even dreamed that the US government as a whole might turn against them at some point, and they’re quite stunned because they thought that their generally liberal social policy would have bought them a bit of friendship. It didn’t. What a surprise.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bishops walked down the left side of Main Street USA hand-in-hand with Obama loving his Socialist ideology and support for their own leftist leanings.

What right do they have to be surprised now that he refuses to cross over to the other side?
--------------------------------------------------------------

The real problem doesn’t have to do specifically with Obama, though.

The real problem is that the bishops gave up their teaching authority decades ago and have never dared to oppose anyone no matter what.

They have let people from Sister Snowflake to Fr Fruitloop to Mrs Muddlehead stand up and spout any heresy and immorality that they wanted to - without any repercussions. So now nobody even cares what the bishops say.
