Simply Not Fair: Catholic League’s Bill Donohue has again defended brave bishop Robert Finn of Kansas City-Saint Joseph who was forced into retirement for allegedly having reported a child-porn case too late. Donohue said to AP that Finn had been a target of leftist elements who did not like his adherence to Catholic teaching. Quote: “He’s a good man. No one called his office and complained specifically that their child was being abused. If he didn’t give a damn, he could have ignored it completely and told everyone in his office to ignore it. He didn’t. He called the authorities. The way he’s been treated is simply not fair.”
Meeting: Pope Francis had a private 15-minute meeting with the French homosexual Laurent Stefanini whom the French Socialist government proposed as the new French ambassador to the Holy See. According to the paper Le Canard Enchâiné Francis cited his displeasure with the introduction of gay pseudo-marriage in France as part of his reason for the decision. He also said he did not appreciate how France had tried to pressure the Vatican.
Diabolical Mercy: On April 12, Bishop Larry Silva of Honolulu rededicated his diocese to Divine Mercy. In his homily he contrasted Divine Mercy with diabolical mercy. Quote: “Many presume that because Jesus is so merciful, he really does not care whether we sin or not.” But: “If there is no sin from which we need to be saved, then why bother approaching the throne of mercy?” And: “We have been deceived by a diabolical notion of mercy that convinces us that God’s love is so immense that there is no possibility of punishment.”
Godless Children: In Spain every year 245.000 children receive their First Communion. But the Spanish Bishops are not too happy about this. They warn that it is increasingly common that this happens with out prior – quote – “religious awakening” of the children. According to them, religious illiteracy is increasing, when being a Christian is misunderstood as a contribution to some "social good”.

But when they ignore the Scriptures, because they can´t believe it, than they also ignore the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, where the LORD says that there is a separation.
"Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. And a poor man named Lazarus what laid at his gate, covered with sores and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man table. Besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores.
Now the poor man died and were carried away by the angels to Abraham´s bosom, and the rich man died and were buried.
In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said: 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame. ´
But Abraham said: 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things, but now he is being comforted here and you are in agony.
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish emergency to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none from us may cross there over.'
And he said: 'Then I beg you, Father, that you send him to my Father´s house there – for I have five brothers - in order that he may warn them, so that they want not to come to this place of torment. ´
But Abraham said: 'They have Moses and the prophets - let them hear them.' "But he said: 'No, Father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the death, they will repent.'" … "But he said to him: 'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the death.'"
