These including the green one are great for Saint quotes and cross-referencing. Voluminous. But if the blue one outlaws death penalty I could not recommend it. For a shorter more traditional and inspiring Catechism, I recommend the Baltimore Catechism.

The recent death of Paul Ehrlich (1932–2026), that master of anti-natalist propaganda, should cause us to consider the far-reaching consequences of his doctrine. As the author of The Population Bomb, (Note: all page references given below refer to this work) written in 1968, Ehrlich helped shape the disastrous demographic policies which many countries around the world are currently scrambling to reverse. by Kathy Clubb Among his predictions was the frightening spectre of overpopulation and world-wide famine to be experienced in the 1970s. By tying food availability to increasing population, Ehrlich successfully sowed enough fear into the academics of his day to ensure that his message would be taken up and disseminated into the unsuspecting community at large. Contraception Central to Ehrlich’s policies for population control was contraception; this was to be subsidised by the government and especially was to be made available to the poor. He lauded the U.S. government’s multi-million …
What stood out in this report is not a vague trend line but something concrete and measurable. Confession is increasing. In a time when the common narrative says Catholics are disengaged, this points in the opposite direction. People are returning to the sacrament that requires honesty, examination of conscience, and a real encounter with mercy.
Perhaps the clearest philosophical truth of our age is this: a disturbing portion of humanity is so blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome, petty economic fluctuations, and shallow political thinking that they cannot comprehend the magnitude of what President Donald J. Trump has achieved. While they obsess over the price of gasoline, history is being rewritten in the Middle East through the force of his courage and leadership. That is not mere disagreement. That is a profound failure to recognize true significance when it stands directly before them. They just cannot admit his genius. x.com/sircensorlot/status/2045261079442325860
Catholics do not put their hope in princes, but justice requires us to acknowledge facts. Real achievements happened where others failed for decades. Obsessing over gas prices while ignoring less suffering in the Holy Land is not prudence. It is the materialism the Church has always condemned. True peace comes only from Christ the Prince of Peace. Let us thank God for these fruits, pray to Our Lady Queen of Peace to guard what has been gained, and ask protection for Christians in the region. History is written by God, not Washington.
youtube.com/watch?v=5OiNdRG_lfM&list=RD5OiNdRG_lf… O GOD BEYOND ALL PRAISING is composed by Gustav Holst and the rendition of this song is performed by the Manila Cathedral Basilica Choir during the Christmas Mass 2024 It serves as the Offertory Song Lyrics: O God beyond all praising, we worship you today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; for we can only wonder at every gift you send, at blessings without number and mercies without end: we lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word, we honour and adore you, our great and mighty Lord. Then hear, O gracious Saviour, accept the love we bring, that we who know your favour may serve you as our king; and whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill, we’ll triumph through our sorrows and rise to bless you still: to marvel at your beauty and glory in your ways, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise. We bow in adoration and kneel before your throne, we sing of our devotion and make your presence known: with …More
Dr. Mazza, trying to prove that Bergoglio was never a pope, goes to proving that Ratzinger had never been the pope: "Unfortunately, it appears we are not just dealing with an heretical opinion held by Rahner back in the 1970s, but potentially Joeph Ratzinger too! As Archbishop Vigano recently revealed, he was informed by Walter Cardinal Brandmüller that Professor Ratzinger supported Professor Rahner’s “shared papacy” idea: Brandmüller confided to me in January 2020 in response to a specific question of mine – that Professor Joseph Ratzinger was developing the theory of the Pope Emeritus and a collegial [shared] Papacy with his colleague Karl Rahner in the 1970s when they were both “young theologians.” (emphasis mine) In 1647, Pope Innocent declared that the notion of a shared papacy is heretical." It will be interesting to watch further developments of his investigation. Perhaps they will reach even Montini.
Dr. Edmund Mazza’s Official Statement on the Vatican Investigation into the Putative Partial Resignation of Pope Benedict XVI Itis encouraging to learn that the Vatican has an active criminal investigation into the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, a subject I have labored upon for over seven years. His Excellency, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano first called for an investigation into Pope Benedict’s resignation in 2022: But before discussing the next conclave, it is necessary to shed light on the abdication of Benedict XVI and on the question of the frauds of the 2013 Conclave, which sooner or later will have to give rise to an official investigation. If there were to be proofs of irregularity, the conclave would be null, the election of Bergoglio null, just as all his appointments, acts of government and magisterium would be null. A reset that would providentially bring us back to the status quo ante, with a College of Cardinals composed only of cardinals appointed up to Benedict …
Ah...the Index. And as a "canonist" you surely know that the Index no longer carries any canonical force. Again, no one is forcing anyone to submit to the argument with any appeal to authority. If you honestly seek the truth, simply read the argument with an open mind and see if you can find any errors. May God bless you and lead you to the truth.
So in canon law as in Catholic moral theology, there is the criterion of "extrinsic credibility". The criterion was recognized in order to protect the faithful lest they be seduced by authors who were condemned or placed on the Index by Holy Mother Church. Knowing if the author has been recognized by the Church as being an expert in the field in which he opines adds to his extrinsic credibility. Knowing if the author, on the other hand, has been placed under censure, or is a rascal, also serves the search for the truth. Admittedly, per se, not knowing the degree of extrinsic credibility to be attributed to a proposition doesn't increase the intrinsic credibility of the argument, but it could, per accidens, diminish it.

NEW: Outrage has broken out after Pope Leo appeared to quote Jesus using a passage that does not exist in the Bible. “Jesus told us, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.’” The first line echoes scripture. The rest does not appear in any biblical passage. The Pope is being accused of using a fabricated quote from Jesus to push a political message.
The Department of Justice awarded more than $1 million to a pro-life advocate wrongfully arrested in his home, his defense announced last week, marking a legal win for free speech and a de facto acknowledgment of federal lawfare deployed against pro-life Christians under the Biden administration. The announcement came just days before Tuesday’s release of a detailed report that further exposes the Biden DOJ’s egregious abuse of the FACE Act. A ‘Reasonable’ Arrest In 2022, Catholic pro-life father Mark Houck was arrested at his home in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania. Houck had been charged with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act after pushing away a Planned Parenthood volunteer who was harassing his 12-year-old son. Although local police and the district attorney rejected the volunteer’s attempt to bring Houck to court, and a municipal court dismissed a lawsuit against him, the Department of Justice picked up the case, threatening Houck with a maximum 11-…
So the Pope met with David Axelrod last week. David Axelrod. Obama's campaign architect. A man who is not Catholic, has never met a pope before, and whose entire career has been engineering political narratives for the American left. And then, by pure coincidence, the Pope immediately started lobbing shots at the Trump administration, and three US Cardinals popped up on 60 Minutes doing the same thing. All organically, I'm sure. I'm a practicing Catholic. I need you to understand that part. But in my opinion, Trump has all the right to lash out at him. Maybe you'll disagree, but in the end, Trump talks like Trump. Water is wet. I'm talking about MY Church being run like a DNC satellite office but with a golden throne. This is the same Vatican that watched governments padlock churches during COVID and said nothing. That let Biden take communion while funding abortion and said nothing. That fired Bishop Strickland for defending actual Church doctrine. That removed Bishop Fernández in …More
