This is an amazing journal. It is written by what is probably a Catholic Nun who took a pilgrimage to the Holy land in between 381 and 384 AD. Some of her manuscript has survived and is available to buy but here is a link to an online digital copy. It is extremely interesting to read, since she appears to have been in Jerusalem during Holy Week. It is apparent that her pilgrimage takes place not long after Constantine built the Churches. There is some dispute as to who the writer is. Some believe it was written by S. Sylvia of Aquitaine -others attribute it to be the work of a Nun on Pilgrimage called "Egeria"

Evidently, according to those who know what the Quran teaches (Sam Shamoun, Christian Prince, David Woods and the gentleman in the above video) the Quran teaches that the Christian NT and the Jewish Scriptures are TRUE. Even though the Quran says our NT is authentic, the Quran ALSO declares that Christ did not die on the Cross. In their view, God exchanged Christ for Judas and HE died on the Cross instead. Christ maintains in the New Testament, that He has come to be Sacrificed so that sinners might be forgiven - In the manner of the Old Testament Sacrificial system of the Jews. The spotless lamb sacrificed in the Temple covered with the sin of a penitent. YET the Quran declares that Jesus allowed Judas to die instead. In 1570 - after the Tridentine Rite (aka The Mass of the Ages) had been professed to be "The Mass of the Roman Rite." by the Sacred Council of Trent, Pope St Pius V prepared a new edition of the Latin Missal. Shortly afterwards, he issued a perpetually binding decree. "Quo Primum Promulgating the Tridentine Liturgy" Pope Pius V - 1570 Within the document (titled above) the HOLY Pontiff infallibly stated that no further Missal but the one that he has just publishedwould be permitted (in perpetuity) to be used to celebrate Mass throughout the Roman Church again. PS As everyone can see after reading that text. NOBODY has the permission or authority to prevent the Clergy from reciting the Mass as per the 1570 Missal of Pope St Pius V. They are publicly condemned by the Act itself. The 1570 missal was (due to "Quo Primum"), left as Sacrosanct for hundreds of years until the Pontificate of Pius XII. I recall that Francis banned the Missal of 1962 but no mention was made of the Pope St Pius V's 1570 Missal being prohibited? Possibly because legally those who hate the Latin Mass can not alter the words of Pope St Pius V. The 1962 Missal, that Francis has prohibited, is not the same Missal as that granted protection by "Quo Primum" since the 1570 Missal had been altered by Bugnini. He made some alterations to Holy Week during the Pontificate of Pope Pius XII. Possibly when Pius XII was ill. Pope Pius XII, was bedridden for a long time in the 1950's. He had a miraculous healing after it appeared he was dying - and lived until 1958.
@Caroline03 - Yes we have infallible teaching from a saintly Pope. VII did not take into account previous infallible teaching, but invented their own. And I don't subscribe to "ordinary" and "extraordinary" rites either.

I got a riddle for you. Suppose the pope obeys the rule, and there are seventy cardinals. Seven recently died, and seven new were just elected. Leading to the number of seventy cardinals. Now what to do if the seven that recently died were resurrected from the dead? This would lead to a situation with seventy seven cardinals. The real question is: Would the Holy Spirit prevent the seven from being resurrected, because now there are already seventy?
I think John XXIII and successive Popes, especially Bergoglio are in serious error for having gone past the number of Cardinals decreed by Pope Sixtus V. Seventy cardinals total is totally legitimate, and no more are necessary. Ridiculous to name Cardinals to remote outposts like Bergoglio has done. The most obvious thing in an expanded college is that the more cardinals there are, the longer it will take to reach a majority for a new Pope. I hope Bergoglio is not around to call/create another batch of his Cardinals. The one good thing is that almost a dozen liberal Bergoglio cardinals, and some bad picks done by Benedict XVI will turn 80 in a year and won't be able to vote. Hopefully Bergoglio will be gone . But I've noticed ( maybe it's just a coincidence), that the more many people(including me), wish for Bergoglio to be gone, the longer he seems to last.
