Ws 18:14-16; 19:6-9 "Out of the Red Sea an unimpeded road. (…) They ranged about like horses, and leapt like lambs." Joy in God's Love helps us move forward, free and confident. Lk 18:1-8 Jesus says: "Will God be slow to answer them?" God doesn't make anyone wait. But why do people wait and want proof that God is present? Let us teach people that we are in the present moment. We are not in yesterday or tomorrow. God is present in the present, and we too are in this moment, now. This is the simplest way to encounter God. Let us often meditate on the simple, childlike joy within us. God's Love is infinite to this joy within us. Let us allow Him to open our hearts to His joy, to His Love, and let us encounter Him, now, within ourselves. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
During the meeting of the U.S. bishops’ conference on 12 November, Bishop Joseph Strickland rose to speak. He urged the prelates to respond to a recent homosexual scandal, noting that a U.S. news anchor in a same-sex “marriage” had been received into the Church and had received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion on 8 November. “It just needs to be addressed. Father James Martin is involved once again,” he said. Monsignor Strickland also remarked that in the “great pictures” of the liturgy, everyone involved is smiling. “We need to address this issue,” he repeated. Following his intervention, the panel offered no reaction or response.
Bishop Strickland stands up in USCCB (November 12) and urges bishops to respond to Fr James Martin overseeing the confirmation & reception of Holy Communion by a 'married' gay man: "We need to address this". There was no response from the panel/chair.
The Pope needs to spend more time in prayer and in preaching, teaching, upholding and defending the Catholic Faith, instead of talking to these phoney self-important so-called icons.
