A Patristic Homily on Christian Marriage Beloved brethren, God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. From the beginning He established order, and by order He preserves all things. When He created man and woman, He joined them before transgression, not in disorder, but in unity of life and purpose, in harmony of soul under God. There was no shame in the beginning, because there was no rebellion. The will was upright, and the body obedient. Thus it is written: “The two shall be one.” This oneness signifies unity and indissolubility, not indulgence. Therefore the Lord Himself later proclaimed: “What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.” Divorce is strictly shunned, for it violates the order established by God from the beginning. After the transgression, however, man fell from obedience, and with that fall came disorder. Desire—which had no place before—now inclined the will. The flesh no longer obeyed the soul with ease. In this state of infirmity, marriage was …More

" Help me, dear sister, succour me in the frightful torture which I endure. Oh ! if you knew the severity of the Judge who desires all our love, what atonement He demands for the least faults before admitting us to the reward ! If you knew how pure we must be to see the face of God ! Pray ! pray, and do penance for me, who can no longer help myself."
“CHAPTER XVII ~ Pains of Purgatory — Blessed Quinziani — The Emperor Maurice. In the Life of Blessed Stephana Quinziani, a Dominican nun, mention is made of a sister named Paula, who died at the convent of Mantua, after a long life of eminent virtue. The body was carried to the church and placed uncovered in the choir among the Religious. During the recitation of the Office, Blessed Quinziani knelt near the bier, recommending to God the deceased Religious, who had been very dear to her. Suddenly the latter let fall the crucifix, which had been placed between her hands, extended the left arm, seized the right hand of Blessed Quinziani, and pressed it tightly, as a poor patient in the burning heat of fever would ask the assistance of a friend. She held it for a considerable time, and then, withdrawing her arm, sank back lifeless into the coffin. The Religious, astonished at this prodigy, asked an explanation of the Blessed Sister. She replied that, whilst the deceased pressed her hand,…More
Leo XIV’s consistory in January did not involve a general debate, Cardinal Raymond Burke told Edward Pentin for his Substack.com-account on 16 January. The consistory adopted a format closer to Francis’s synods, with discussion confined almost entirely to small groups:"All the discussion took place in the small group, and then in the general session there was simply a report from the secretaries." Divide and Conquer Burke added that the way the consistory was structured did not allow for so-called free interventions. The two plenary sessions permitted only brief interventions: "Each intervention was limited to three minutes, so just 15 cardinals could speak in one session." With more than 160 cardinals present, many were left unheard. In the small groups, "the topics were assigned, and then there was a whole structure that had to be followed at the tables". Every Pope Appoints the Bishops He Wants Beyond the consistory itself, Cardinal Burke expressed concerns about the Pope’s many …More
Cardinal Michael Czerny, SJ, 79, said that during the consistory on 7-8 January, he did not hear anyone say, "Oh, I’m sorry we didn’t discuss the liturgy". He told the Substack.com-account The Pillar on 13 January, that what Leo XIV will do with the Mass of the Roman Rite is "beyond my pay grade": "I can’t speculate about how he intends to approach the situation. But I can’t imagine a pope who wouldn’t want to bring peace to the Church. I think every pope since St Peter would want that," the cardinal speculated. In general, he found the consistory a "healthy" exercise. "As soon as we got together and realised that the first thing we would do was spend the whole afternoon discussing it, we realised we were already at work. People immediately switched into gear. All three sessions were good." "Not Possible Without Pope Francis" When asked if the lack of collegiality among the cardinals wasn’t the elephant in the room under Francis, Cardinal Czerny denied it, saying: “No, quite the …More
The documentary aired yesterday on Cuatro «Proyecto Sistiaga» was dedicated to homosexuality in the Catholic clergy. Sistiaga’s investigation is presented as a human approach to the experience of homosexuality in Catholicism through the suffering and contradictions of a series of specific individuals. However, beyond its empathetic tone, the program articulates from the outset a very specific thesis: chastity would be a form of harmful repression, and the only honest way to live sexuality—including in the priesthood—would be to embrace an active homosexual life. That is the interpretive key that runs through the entire narrative and conditions both the selection of testimonies and the conceptual framework from which they are read. One of the central testimonies is that of the British theologian and priest James Alison, who claims that between 70 and 80% of the clergy would be homosexual and describes an ecclesial structure practically dominated by a normalized homosexual subculture …

Jason Jones reports that Israel has approved an illegal settlement project that threatens Shepherd’s Field in Beit Sahour, revered as the site of Christ’s Nativity announcement. At least 19 Christian families have already been displaced, and the new development could sever Bethlehem’s Christian community from Jerusalem. Jones warns this may mark the final erasure of Christianity in the West Bank, exposing decades of church destruction and settler violence. He calls on Western Catholics to abandon silence, insisting they have the power, and duty, to stop this before it’s too late. He also mentioned something about Governor DeSantos. And it didn't sound good either. He decided to criminalize criticizing Israel. I didn't like that man. People fell for the bones he kept throwing as well. Now it's starting to come all out. Just like he said, he will catch and stop those who are spraying our skies and it only got worse "right after he said that"! BREAKING: Israel is about to TAKE OVER the …More
PRIME MINISTER MARK CARNEY JUST SAID IT OUT LOUD “I believe the progress that we have made and the partnership (with China) sets us up well for the New… World… Order.” Not rushed. Not off the cuff. He pauses between every word - New… World… Order - like he wants it to land. This wasn’t code. This wasn’t a slip. This was said out loud, on camera, deliberately.
January 15 in Charlotte, in the cold and in front of the chancery, faithful gathered to pray for our diocese, for Bishop Martin, and in reparation for his liturgical directives.
I write today with a heavy heart about a personal faith-related discussion that I had yesterday with a local Vicar—the matter related to a material desecration that took place (of all days) on Christmas Day. A friend and I were both witnesses to it. While the incident was a misunderstanding, it was clearly and blatantly avoidable. Anyone with a discerning heart and mind could obviously see the circumstances that lent themselves to it. This same friend and I wrote a letter to the Vicar about it. We did receive an appointment to discuss the matter in person. However, by the end of the discussion, the vicar’s posture and message regarding the incident became clear. And, while not explicit, the general message was: “s#!t happens” For Catholics, the Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. Everything else is a distant second. It was the equivalent of hearing from the doctor charged with caring for your father or mother that they fell down the stairs during their hospital stay……More
OPRAH against Catholic wisdom that gluttony is a sin: “All these years, I thought I was overeating... because of me and my fault. Now I understand that if you carry the obesity gene... that is what makes you overeat.” “You don’t overeat and become obese. Obesity causes you to overeat.”

This has nothing to do with MAGA. She was interfering with law enforcement. She was not engaged in a legitimate protest. And what was she protesting? The removal of criminal aliens, and anyone here illegally are criminals. Reimmigration is a necessity and this woman is on the side of national suicide.

The Army, "Chinese brains" and Russian "Murmansk BN": Iran has neutralized Starlink and is on its way to suppressing the wave of unrest. ----- Tehran has found an answer to the instigators of unrest. The Iranian army has announced that it is ready to participate in suppressing the unrest and has declared that it intends to "resolutely defend national interests, strategic infrastructure, and state property." The army blamed Israel and "terrorist groups" for the escalation, according to the Wall Street Journal. Until now, street rioters have been dispersed by the police and militarized formations, primarily structures associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. The "Israeli footprint" in the events in Iran is becoming increasingly apparent. Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi said Tehran has evidence of Washington and Tel Aviv's involvement in the unrest. Arakchi also accused the US and Israel of "terrorist acts." In response, Israel publicly expressed its support for the protesters …More
