Like Balthazar, Rahner, Ratzinger, Kung, Congar, Guardini, Lubac and Lehmann he accepted the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office (LOHO) which confused invisible cases of the baptism of desire as being visible exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Pope Leo XIV began today his first foreign trip, to Turkey and then Lebanon. During the flight to Ankara, he spoke about the importance of peace, adding that all men and women to truly be brothers and sisters: "Despite our differences, despite our different religions and beliefs, we are all brothers and sisters, and I hope to play a part in promoting peace and unity throughout the world." Speaking to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the country’s diplomatic corps, Leo XIV praised Turkey’s historic role as a bridge between East and West, at the crossroads of religions and cultures. He quoted his predecessor, Pope Francis, as saying that the wars ravaging the world today amount to a "third world war fought piecemeal". "We are now experiencing a phase marked by a heightened level of global conflict," he said. "We must not give in to this! The future of humanity is at stake." Regarding Christians in Turkey, who form only a small minority following the murderous expulsions of the early 20…More
“ Despite our differences, despite our different religions and beliefs, we are all brothers and sisters”. There is no way to reconcile that with Islamic doctrine, or with the Koran. L14 is merely showing that he is - or his advisers are - ignorant of Islam. He and they have no right be so ignorant. He has no right to pontificate on matters he knows nothing of.
Mark 16:15-16 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
By Lee Trewhela, Falmouth Packet, 26th Nov, 2025 CORNWALL COUNCIL || DIGITAL ID || LOCAL GOVERNMENT || CORNWALL AND ISLES OF SCILLY Cornwall Council has become the first local authority in the country to agree to write to the Government saying ‘no’ to its bid to introduce mandatory digital ID. The leader of the council even jokingly said he was willing to march to London as one of 20,000 Cornishmen on the matter. Conservative councillor Connor Donnithorne proposed a motion asking for the council to tell the Labour Government it was against the introduction of the proposed digital ID cards. He told a meeting of the full council: “It may sound modern, it might sound innovative and it may sound efficient. It sounds inevitable, but that’s exactly why we should be sceptical of it. Convenience must never come at the cost of personal liberty.” He said residents across Cornwall were “rightly” expressing genuine concern about the move. “It’s about the individual being in control of …
Today, at the site of ancient Nicaea, Pope Leo XIV joined around 27 other leaders of Christian communities to commemorate the 1700 anniversary of the first Council. Leo XIV thanked the Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, for his "great wisdom and foresight" in calling for Church leaders to celebrate this important anniversary together. However, Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow was not invited to the ecumenical prayer. Cardinal Kurt Koch told CruxNow.com ahead of the liturgy: "The Catholics have invited Catholics and the Orthodox invite Orthodox". He added that he respects the "decision of the Orthodox" not to invite the world’s largest Orthodox group. Picture: VaticanNews.va, #newsYaitxdonvz
No surprise since the so-called "new Rome" of Constantinople has been at loggerheads with the self-styled "third Rome" of Moscow for centuries. Currently a flashpoint - Ukraine.
"To find a model of what we should expect to see after a validly-performed Consecration, we should look no further than the tiny nation of Portugal. This small European country provides the evidence that a solemn consecration to the Immaculate Heart can place a nation under Our Lady’s protection." Portugal: Case Study of a Successful Consecration
THE CATHOLIC UNDERSTANDING OF ADVENT Advent is the Church’s sacred season of holy longing. It is the time when the Bride, the Church, lifts her eyes toward the horizon and waits for Christ with a love that is vigilant, joyful, and full of hope. The word Advent comes from adventus—“the coming.” In this season, the Church focuses on three comings of Christ: 1. His first coming in the flesh at Bethlehem. 2. His coming in grace through the sacraments and in daily life. 3. His coming in glory at the end of time. THE 4 WEEKS OF ADVENT — 4,000 YEARS OF LONGING Tradition beautifully holds that the four weeks of Advent symbolize the 4,000 years humanity waited for the Messiah—from Adam to the birth of Jesus. Each candle is not merely a decoration but a sign of: • Week 1: The longing hope of all humanity • Week 2: The prophetic expectation of Israel • Week 3 (Gaudete): Joy anticipating the nearness of the King • Week 4: The radiant dawn of Christ who is almost here The wreath itself teaches: …More

MAHA Action @MAHA_Action Gavin de Becker: “Imagine this, some parents don’t want their kids to play football because they might have a head injury.” “But if the government mandated that you play football, we’d all be pretty pissed off.” “Parents decide whether their kids can take the bike out after sundown, whether they can sleep over at somebody’s house.” “They make all these decisions about safety, but they give over this vaccine decision as if it’s not their business.” “Something that Bobby Kennedy is pushing for, and I think will accomplish, is called joint decision making.” “And that is that the parent and the pediatrician will decide together on whether or not vaccines, when to give them, how many, which type, etc.”
Screengrab youtube The installation raised next to the Christmas tree that adorns Brussels’ Grand-Place this year, titled “Fabrics of the Nativity,” has drawn criticism. While it includes the traditional figures of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, it replaces classic sacred imagery with life-size dolls dressed in recycled textiles. The figures have no faces, only patchwork patterns in beige and brown. According to organizers, this was meant to create “an inclusive mix of skin tones.” Critics argue it strips the nativity of its spiritual meaning and turns it into a political statement. City officials say the old nativity scene was too damaged to keep. Mayor Philippe Close (PS) insisted Brussels would not follow other cities that removed their nativity displays, but admitted jokingly that as a secular mayor he didn’t want to handle the issue alone. The project was reviewed and approved by St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral—a decision that has raised eyebrows among those who expected a …
The province of Quebec has pushed secularism another step with Bill-9. The law is intended to make sure day care workers don't wear religious symbols, such as a cross, hijab or kippa, that institutions like hospitals offer religious meals, like kosher and halal, must have an alternative meal, and no public prayers and prayer rooms in schools, universities and colleges. The idea is to make sure Quebec is secular. No religion wanted here. This new legislation goes further than the previous law, Bill 21, passed in 2019 which prohibits workers in public institutions from wearing religious symbols. This includes police officers, judges, principals, teachers and other public employees. No crosses, turbans, hijabs and kippahs. The Quebec government's mission was to laicize public spaces and institutions. The name of the law says it all: it's an "Act respecting the laicity of the State." Religion must be kept private. Worship and pray and dress with all the religious symbols you want but do it …

On Thursday, the Spanish Civil Guard arrested Laura García de Viedma, abbess of the Sedevacantist Poor Clares at the Belorado monastery. The investigation concerns the alleged sale of artworks and heritage items belonging to the convent. According to Spanish media reports, officers entered the monastery early in the day despite attempts by members of the community to block access. Items from the monastery have reportedly surfaced on the antiques market. Some of the convent's gold, totalling 1.73 kg, was reportedly sold for around €130,000. In recent months, the courts have ordered the nuns to leave Belorado and rejected their attempt to register as a civil association owning the monastery. Most of the group now reside in a monastery in Orduña, having moved several elderly sisters there ahead of the eviction process in Belorado. #newsWeubvnpjjk
