Live nativity adjacent to U.S. Supreme Court.

Annually for some time now, baptized Catholic turned Protestant Pastor Patrick Mahoney has worked around laws prohibiting stationary nativity scenes at the U.S. Supreme Court by presenting instead a LIVE nativity. This scene is from a cold morning, just a few hours ago.

In this photo, another point of interest - behind "Mary" there is a blanket over an absolutely stationary and quite heavy marble plaque of the Ten Commandments. The pastor, an ardent pro-lifer, incurred daily $1,000 fines for years until it was finally ruled that he did not have to pay them.

The phrase Rev. Mahoney is probably most known for is, "On with the revolution!"
