Correction: the book I suggested is titled "We Saw her'.

@jd1961 Jeremiah was the 'weeping prophet' and he wept for the destruction of the Temple and the fast approaching Babylonian captivity. I think our Lady was weeping because the Church was going to experience Her 'Babylonian Captivity'. I didn't know that about Our Lady weeping when looking towards the east. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

@Maccabean Uprising The comment about the Papal States makes me think about something I didn't understand about Lourdes. In one of the visions, the people were startled because St. Bernadette, in ecstasy, began weeping. Later they asked what was wrong, and she told them that Our Lady wasn't looking at her, as She usually did, but was looking over her head to the east and weeping. I don't want credit …More

I don't want credit, but I would suggest you find old book on St. Bernadette titled "They Saw Her". You can find it on Amazon for not too much. It's the most detailed book on the Lourdes apparitions I ever read.

@jd1961 Can I make a video about the information you just gave me pertaining to St. Bernadette and Nebuchadnezzar? I would love to give you credit in the video :)

@jd1961 Wow! I have never considered that, but I would say you are exactly right! That is very interesting, because one of the videos that is yet to be made is how the Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes is prefigured by Jeremiah hiding the Ark in a cave before the Babylonians come and take the Jews into bondage. Of course, we know that it was Nebuchadnezzar who was the Babylonian king who did this. But... the reason why I haven't made this video yet, is because first I have to make the video of how the Spoliation of the Papal States (the taking of the Papal States) in 1870 was prefigured by the Babylonian Exile. (I alluded to this in the video about the Lateran Treaty, but a video is needed to focus just on the taking of the Papal States, and the events leading up to it). You see, Jeremiah hid the Ark just before the Babylonians came.... and Our Lady appeared in a cave in Lourdes just 2 years before the first round of Papal State confiscations occurred in 1860. I could go into further detail if you want. However, your amazing comment about Nebuchadnezzar and St. Bernadette fits right into the time period being examined. That is VERY interesting! I have many more videos to make.... but I wonder if you would be willing to put our minds together? I really appreciate your insight. (BTW.... my wife and I LOVE Our Lady of Lourdes. We had our conversion there, and ended up getting married on Her feast day of Feb. 11th.).

I'm no expert at this, but have you considered that St. Bernadette was prefigured by Nebuchadnezzar? In Daniel 4: "A Holy One came down from Heaven", begins his vision. (St. bernadette notices an anonomolous, and sees Our Lady above her). His dwelling was with wild beasts (Massabielle was known as the "pig's grotto"). "Thou shalt eat grass like the ox" (Our Lady had St.. Bernadette eat of the wild …More

(St. bernadette notices an anonomolous, and sees Our Lady above her). His dwelling was with wild beasts (Massabielle was known as the "pig's grotto"). "Thou shalt eat grass like the ox" (Our Lady had St.. Bernadette eat of the wild plants, which no one understood). "His body was wet with the dew of Heaven" (Our Lady had St. Bernadette bathe in the miraculous spring). He lifted his eyes to Heaven, and his senses were restored to him (St. Bernadette went once to the Grotto when Our Lady didn't appear. She nearly had a nervous breakdown, but when she returned the next day, she looked up, saw Our Lady, and peace returned to her). Nebuchadnezzar went on the praise and glorify God for the rest of his life (St. Bernadette went to convent, and did the same thing).
