Archbishop Georg Gänswein, 66, the acting Prefect of the Papal Household, will have to leave Rome within four weeks, by 1 July, reports Welt.de (2 June). He will retire without an office in Freiburg in his diocese or origin. Gänswein was informed of his future by Francis at the audience on 19 May, according to the report. Freiburg Archdiocese told KNA.de that it knew nothing about this.
