The Great Secret of Islam featuring Odon Lafontaine.

While reading the Koran, reading the Muslim tradition and discussing with Muslims, Odon Lafontaine could not prevent the rise of a widespread feeling of unease and incomprehension towards this religion as he discovered what were for him contradictions and implausibilities, both historical and logical. To try to explain them, he wanted to learn more about the historical origins of Islam. This is how he discovered the work of Édouard-Marie Gallez c. s. j. D. in Theology and History of Religion, and began studying at his school. His thesis, entitled The Messiah and his Prophet, and their exchanges led him to discover a great deal of fascinating historical research. They transformed his vision of Islam by revealing a completely different history from the one the prevailing discourse would have us believe: Islam is not the result of divine revelation - or of Mohammed's preaching - but of a very long and complex process of rewriting history, rooted in Jewish and Christian beliefs that have been misguided and manipulated by the Caliphs to satisfy their aims of political domination.
