US needs a second party.
It's a sophmoric affectation to claim there's no difference between American political parties. The increasingly sharp divide on major issues should be proof enough to the contrary, assuming one is paying attention.
"The differences in policy are more between liberals and conservatives." Correct. ...and which party most supports the liberal ideology, which party most supports the conservative ideology? The nature of American government and voting naturally leads to a two party system, unlike in Europe where a coalition must be formed between the largest groups needed to form a majority.
