While I am not doubting for one moment that much has changed since Vatican II and there has been much lost it is unjust to ascribe this loss to the Council. While I am not doubting for one moment that much has changed since Vatican II and there has been much lost it is unjust to ascribe this loss to the Council. A faithful, orthodox reading of the Council documents does not justify any of the changes made after the Council. Pope Paul VI was, to my mind, easily swayed and he trusted too much that those who 'experimented' would respect tradition and the Magisterium. His trust was betrayed and by some, such as Archbishop Bugnini, who were close to him. It was those who tampered with the Liturgy, though no such tampering had been envisaged by the Council; those who promoted the use, or at least the tolerance, of contraception; those who wanted to remove any barrier whatsoever to Protestants feeling at home in the Catholic Church who did the damage. The 'barbarians within the gate' such as Kung, Rahner, Schillebeeckx, etc., urged the rebels on and fed the flames of destruction. The Council is not the problem. The problem is with those who highjacked the Council and used it as an excuse to destroy much that was beautiful. The present Holy Father is right in proposing his 'hermeneutic of continuity' so that we can read the Council aright and in an orthodox way. 🙂

Priests without collars or habits. Nuns in slacks, living in their own apts. etc. etc. And bishops who contradict the teaching of the Church.
This particular video should be shown to everyone in the world and should be in every home and school. Let us return to being "CATHOLIC" and, like we were years ago, proud of our One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Religion.
May the Pope elected in March of 2013 return us to this once more.
