What if Francis isn’t the pope after all? John-Henry asks Dr. Edmund Mazza, a professor of Church history, to unpack the controversy and confusion surrounding the 2013 resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and address the potential implications for Francis' papacy if the resignation were invalid.
[Defense for the current occupant of the Chair more and more appears to be a sinking-ship]

This writer doesn't understand why good Catholics who see & hear the things coming from the current occupant of the Chair of Peter continue to be apologists for objectively indefensible actions and statements. One wonders could any absurdity be declared or outrageous act be performed by the current occupant which would cause them to stop, re-evaluate, and ask themselves, "Exactly who and what am I really defending?!"
