During the G7 show, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was asked by Itv.com’s editor Robert Peston who is Jewish, if he “is now a practicing Roman Catholic” as he got married in a Catholic Church.
If he were, Johnson would have had to join Joe Biden last Sunday. But he replied, “I don’t discuss these deep issues. Certainly not with you.” Peston commented that Johnson is “aware that – for better or worse (worse for a long time) – this has been a pertinent question for chief and prime ministers since Henry Vlll.”
Further, Peston asked Johnson if he believed in God. Johnson replied paraphrasing Psalm 13/52, “The foolish man has said in his heart he doesn’t believe in God. I’ll leave it at that.” Johnson is known for often quoting the Bible.
Johnson’s mother Charlotte Fawcett is/was for unclear reasons a Catholic and had her son baptised a Catholic. His godmother is Lady Rachel Billington, daughter of Lord Longford (+2001), a convert and staunch Catholic.

Btw, this marriage would have been permitted under the Council of Trent and all the traditional Popes since. It has nothing to do with the Modern Crisis!

"this has been a pertinent question for chief and prime ministers since Henry Vlll." if he acknowledges the question is pertinent, then why not answer it? Cool masks, gaiz. Love the "social distancing" too. Isn't it nice to be a world-leader? ;-)
