The ultraliberal and influential Cardinal Walter Kasper has urged to think "thoroughly and timely" about abolishing priestly celibacy.
Talking to kathpress (February 19), Kasper stated that married priests are an answer to an alleged shortage of priests (although the true problem of the Church is a shortage of faithful). Kasper proposes to begin with ordaining married deacons.
In October 2005, after the election of Benedict XVI, Kasper told Radio Vatican that married priests could not be expected soon, because "the problem is more complex than one could suppose."
It becomes increasingly evident that too many Catholic bishops behave toward the truth like politicians, saying whatever suits their personal interests in a certain moment without any care for what is right and what is wrong.

This man has tried to influence other Popes before without success , but this time he has done it he has helped the church to be more than ever to be in a confusing state ,cardinals against cardinals ,bishops against bishops ,priests against priests ,and he is still smiling
