Who didn’t see this coming??? The optics alone of how Gloor presented himself on social media in light of his position at WOF were huge red flags.

Word on Fire is on fire. (This is the guy)

@Fernanda Dellucci 😂 Lol, yes, I've heard he likes to pump iron with the gym rats.

He's a descent philosopher who draws a lot of his thought on Aquinas, which gives insight in accurately describing and diagnosing modern materialism, and postmodernity. However, when it comes to theology he's a disaster. He thinks some of the insights of neo-modernists like Von Balthazar, Rhaner and de Chardin are doctrinal developments and useful weapons in combating the bad forms of modernism (that's like saying there is a good line of Nazism or Marxism that can be used against the bad form). In the end, if the Church is to recover from Her present auto-destruction, there can be no compromise with theological modernism b/c it is grounded in pure subjectivism and a human autonomy that sees man as measure of all things, the things that are and are not.

He's an idiot! I'm not impressed with his superficial knowledge of Aquinas or his ability to drop names of well known modernist thinkers. So what, that he can claim some 'hotch-pot' Heinz-variety philosophical learning, Fulton Sheen he ain't, and that's precisely whom he thought he could emulate, and even surpass. That, in a nut-shell, is precisely why his team finds its self in a scandalised mess …More

That, in a nut-shell, is precisely why his team finds its self in a scandalised mess. After all, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. On a more positive note, Bishop Barron can turn things around, firstly and foremost, by taking a good look at self. Anything short of that, all else would be in vain. As for the 'muscle-bound' entourage. Sack 'em all.

Fulton Sheen was one of the great Catholic philosophers and theologians of the 20th Cen. par excellence! He could easily be proclaimed by a future pope to be a Doctor of the Church. Bishop Barron is not even close to his stature of God given intellect and zeal for the Faith.

Isn't that, what I was saying?

Calm down, I was agreeing with your points about bishop Sheen.
