Supreme Court Rejects Bid for Arkansas Law Limiting Abortion.

The 2013 law sought to ban abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy.
On Tuesday, the justices chose to leave a May 2015 ruling in place by an 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals based in St. Louis.
A lower court in 2014 also blocked the law.
Lawyers for Arkansas said their appeal does not directly challenge a woman's right to have an abortion.
Instead, they question the Supreme Court's finding for Roe v. Wade in 1973 which set "viability"of the fetus as the legal standard.
Viability, according to medical experts, occurs around the 23-to-24-week mark of a pregnancy.
