Ah, very interesting. So the question is who prepared the list for the Pope? Surely Cardinal Sodano could answer that one? :-)

Agree. By 2001 the failing health of JPII meant that Sodano and Dziwisz, along with Ratzinger, were making these decisions (turma turmatim). Sodano was a neo con and Dziwisz leaned that way. Sodano opposed the Ratzinger view of the Church because it did not facilitate playing games of international politics with secular governments. (Sodano also opposed the election of BXVI.)

Also: It was well known in Rome during the 1990s that Ratzinger was warning members of the Curia about deteriorating Church in Germany. Powerful members of the Curia like Sodano and Re thought R was exaggerating the sitation. It's easy to see who was right about Germanyh.

This is about individual responsibility. JPII is individually responsible for elevating scoundrels, heretics, and notorious sodomites to the College of Cardinals. One of them is now "Pope," allegedly. How's that working out?

You all are failing to realize what it means to be obedient, I never stated that you cannot tell the Pope that he is wrong, that is not what obedience means. It’s about telling someone is wrong, and not disrespecting him or sin while you do it. Most of you having nothing but a bashing fest, even to go as far and call the pope a “homo” that is a sin, no matter how you try and justify it!!! Go to …More

Why can’t you fools realize that God is always in control, even if the pope is crooked, who do you think is keeping him still as the head. The same person keeping your hearts beating. His name is God the father, and if God the father decides to allow the church to experience a bad pope for 20 years, that’s his call not yours. …More

All through out the Bible God uses bad to bring out good, so shut up and stop bashing the pope!!! Get on your knees and say a rosery over it, like a true catholic!!! Padre Pio was a great example, the local church authorities in his time, did not allow him to practice as a priest because they thought he was fake. He did not say one bad thing about them!!! He just understood that God is always in control!!! Look that fact up!!!!

Tesa what would like to convey in your statement (on JPII)? Make also co-responsible Christ - God for Judas errors and Pius XII for Bugnini errors? False notion of collective and third party liability for individual crimes derives from tribal culture and neo-Mosaic law as result of misunderstanding prerequisites of justice. Church law and the Christian civilization based on Greek philosophy and Latin law adopted the concept of individual moral responsibility. And in western law should apply the principle of individual responsibility for crime. Collective responsibility is a sign of authoritarian tendencies in societies often used to enforce collective punishment. For i.e. collective punishment imposed by law industry on Church for individual crimes of priests with end to destroy visible Catholic Church after diocese bankruptcies in individual sex abuse cases.
