Portuguese Bishop Was "Misquoted" On Virginity of Our Lady
The Portuguese news-page observador.pt (December 27) published a corrected version of its story about Porto Bishop Manuel Linda, Portugal, regarding the virginity of Our Lady.
The site admits that the quotation “we should never refer to the physical virginity of the Virgin Mary” attributed to Linda is incomplete.
The bishop instead has said: “We should never only refer to the physical virginity of the Virgin Mary, but also the theological aspect.”
It may come as a surprise that Linda never bothered correcting the "misquotation" on his dioceses' webpage.
