First Time Ever: Francis Enters a Catacomb

“This is the first time I've ever entered a catacomb,” Francis said in his November 2 homily which he gave in the Roman Priscilla Catacomb.

This was also the first time that a pope celebrated the All Souls' Mass in a catacomb.

Francis said in his homily that today there are more persecuted Christian [sometimes inside the Church] than in the first centuries.
