All he's doing in this clip is setting an introduction for a discussion: "We are talking in theological poetry." He does not in any way say, in this clip, that the conditions he's laying out are his theological beliefs. To portray him that way, based on this clip alone, is highly disingenuous, and intellectually bankrupt.
If there is no literal Adam - the first man and father of the human race - then all theology about the "second Adam" = Jesus Christ the Redeemer of the human race is meaningless! I suppose that's the rationale for these Modernists to discount the truth and reality of Genesis.
