No and Yes: As it has become common practice, another Vatican report – the one on Medjugorie - has been leaked in order to prepare the public for its findings. According to the Italian media Pope Francis will not recognize the apparitions of Medjugorie as supernatural. At the same time Medjugorie will be recognized as a place of worship.
Polemics: Along the same lines Pope Francis politicized during yesterday’s homily indirectly against Medjugorie. He warned of ways in which Christian witness can be weakened or watered down. Among different examples Francis also mentioned those who are always searching for some “novelty” in their Christian identity. They say “Where are the visionaries who can tell us exactly what message Our Lady will be sending at 4’o’clock this afternoon?” The Italian journalist Antonio Socci comments: “From a father one would expect another way of expressing himself”.
Canonical Visitation: Since May the Sisters of Bethlehem, a community of 700 hermits who follow the byzantine liturgy and the lifestyle of the Carthusians, are under canonical visitation. The sisters themselves asked for it after some former members had accused them in the Internet of a too strong separation from the outside reality, a culture of guilt, centralization of power and the imposition of a unified way of thinking. It seems to Gloria.tv that these accusations sound like the characterization of a liberal Catholic University.
“Mary who prostrates to God in worship”: Last Saturday in the coastal city of Tartous, Syria, a mosque was opened which is dedicated to Our Lady. It is called Al-Sayyida Maryam, one of the Islamic names for Our Lady which means in English: “Mary who prostrates to God in worship”. At the opening a delegate of the local Maronites was present who declared that he was proud of the initiative. The mother of Christ is mentioned in several surahs of the Quran and a surah bearing her name is one of only eight named after a person.

Medjugorje so-called visions were never recognized as supernatural by the Diocese Bishop, nor the Country's Bishop Conference - which are the first two required steps for recognition.
In fact they have always stated that these visions were not supernatural - based upon their investigations.

No y Sí: Como se ha convertido en una práctica común, otro informe del Vaticano - el de Medjugorje - se ha filtrado con el fin de preparar al público para sus conclusiones.
