They did nothing, and Mitt Romney ordered town clerks to record same sex marriages, thinking it would spur the people to take action, which they did, but we couldn’t get 25% of the legislature to vote to put it on the ballot, and, the rest is history. If it could happen almost 20 years ago in the US, when public opinion, even in Massachusetts was against it, it can happen in Poland today.
