Coronavirus: Cardinal Müller Experiences “Helplessness”

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller considers the Coronavirus “life-threatening” and wishes for a vaccine to prevent the spread of the disease (LifeSiteNews.com March 20).

For Müller, the situation is “certainly not comparable” to the dangers and turmoil of war, nevertheless he calls “the experience of helplessness” similar.

Müller feels the limits of what is possible “as in times of plague and cholera,” and underlines that our life is in God's hands.

Helpless perhaps but not hopeless. We must return to The Lord, repent, pray, beg Him for mercy and then leave it in His Hands. Then, get to doing the corporal and spiritual acts of Mercy. Catholics do not cower in fear.
