I don't understand why is no one being accusing to Pope Francis, for all the times he transferred or hid or protected pedophile gay priests while he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires? I read that there are cases he ignored and covered up. No one ever says about that. If they made a big deal of that, I am sure it would bring Francis down.
Rafał_Ovile
Why would devil with his accomplices go after his man? He's still going after the true pope and his real enemy!

The double standard is glowing. It's hard to avoid the conclusion that +Ratzinger handled clerical sexual abuse *poorly* in Munich. He had a steep learning curve. But even what little we know about Buenos Aires looks much more troubling.
Prayhard
Half or more of the curia of Francis are known or strongly suspected homos. If Francis wasn't the Amazon or Microsoft pope, we would continually hear of their perversions (most suspected assaults against seminarians or use of male prostitutes like the Vatican Bank Prelate Ricca).
Kenjiro M. Yoshimori
"Meanwhile, Francis is not questioned on his cover-up and support of homosexual abusers."

Of course not. He's gold to the media and the world. He could be having homo orgies with his cardinals every night and the media would applaud and say how great that was that Francis wasn't as formal as past popes.

Benedict also continues to use his Papal Coat of Arms.

"I'm confused."

Indeed, you are.
Les Crispi
I'm confused. When a pope resigns, he no longer keeps his papal name. He doesn't hang around the Vatican wearing papal white, he doesn't give his special blessing, and he doesn't respond to "Your Holiness" (which he still does). But according to Trads, our confusion is our own problem. Benedict resigned, Francis is pope!

Can't wait until Bergoglio dies before Benedict. the confusion compounds....

Benedict XVI never gave up the office of Pope, just the responsibilities. I read that he quit because his doctors advised against any more travel, because altitude etc/air pressure can affect a person if they have atrial fibrillation issues and high BP, which Benedict XVI has from time to time ( not atrial fib, just high BP). Benedict thought travel vital, so he quit. That was rather stupid, …More

Benedict thought travel vital, so he quit. That was rather stupid, because JPII did nothing but travel, and 25+ years of travel didn't do the Church any good. But I still consider him much more of a pope than Bergoglio.

Benedict contradicts you @Les Crispi

"When a pope resigns, he no longer keeps his papal name." -which he did.

"He doesn't hang around the Vatican wearing papal white," -which he doesn't

He even says so:" I wear the white cassock in a visibly different way to how the Pope wears it." A white cassock is not "papal white". There's more to Papal vestments than just being "papal white" as …More

Once you've got a shot of Benedict and Francis together in matching Papal mozzettas, we'll discuss other elements of his Papal regalia he no longer wears.

"(which he still does)"

Former military officers answer to the rank they retained prior to (wait for it) retirement. It's a mark of respect to refer to them using the rank they earned.

You're back to repeating the same arguments from that other GTV user from Ohio. Funny thing. I went through all this with him already.
Les Crispi
@Ultraviolet nah, B16 doesn't contradict me. In fact, his own words, written long ago about creating a bifurcated papacy, just buttress my points.

And of course, since there cannot be and was never instituted a "pope emeritus" in the 2000 year history of the church, it's amazing that trads like you who "cling to tradition" embrace a radical new institution in the Church.

Isn't that a little...hypocritical?

Now why would a modernist like B16 do something totally incongruent with traditional Catholicism? Duh.

The real question is why so called Trads are OK with the creation of a new Papal title and position?

Maybe it's because, as I said in another post, you're simply cowards who can only belch out cognitive dissonance in a vain attempt to explain the cowardice. Happy to preach, not happy to practice.

I really hope you can stop with this idiocy.

Review: Trads are totes OK with a brand new pope title, pope emeritus. Are OK with the Bergolio's heresies of no hell, no trinity, and the inclusion of a demon into the Church. Why?

What good are your Latin masses, your communion on the tongue if you don't stand up and defend Jesus Christ when He needs it the most?

A literal demon was enthroned in the Vatican, and you'd rather defend Bergoglio.

Maybe you don't believe in any of it, either.

Examine yourself. You and your fellow poseurs.

"nah, B16 doesn't contradict me."

I just quoted him doing so.

"In fact, his own words, written long ago about creating a bifurcated papacy, just buttress my points."

The other Ohio user claimed that to, parroting Anne Barnhardt.

Benedict expressly said, "there is no diarchy" which means, Benedict himself contradicted you. Again.

You're covering very old ground. This is why range-bans are …More

You're covering very old ground. This is why range-bans are so much more effective than account-bans.

"And of course, since there cannot be and was never instituted a "pope emeritus" in the 2000 year history of the church,"

From the article already linked: "Benedict explained that when he initially stepped down he wanted to be called "Father Benedict" rather than Pope Emeritus or Benedict XVI, but "I was too weak at that point to enforce it.".

Simply put, Benedict has repudiated the title. What other people call him does not mean he calls himself that.

"it's amazing that trads like you who "cling to tradition" embrace a radical new institution in the Church."

Papal resignations are neither radical nor new.

"Isn't that a little...hypocritical?"

No, for the reason just given.

"Now why would a modernist like B16 do something totally incongruent with traditional Catholicism? Duh.

...because people are not badly written cartoon characters with one-dimensional personalities. That's why. Duh.

"The real question is why so called Trads are OK with the creation of a new Papal title and position?"

No, the real question is why you insist on fabricating agreement for other people where none exists. A resigned pope is not a "new" anything.

"Maybe it's because, as I said in another post, you're simply cowards...

A more likely explanation is you're just hawking up the brainless accusations that got Mr. Tough Talk Mike Yerian and all his other aliases kicked off GTV over and over again.

Every Ohio "Benedict Buddy" on GTV has gotten his teeth kicked in when he tries arguing specifics. You claiming "B16 doesn't contradict me." when he just did is exactly the sort of "cognitive dissonance" that defines the "Benedict Buddy" outlook.

"I really hope you can stop with this idiocy."

Right back at'cha, buttercup.

You're just noise. Old noise with a new name.

Any point you raise, once again, is just going to get knocked down... once again. Durr.. "da papal white". That just blew up in your face. Again.

Go find a shot of "Pope" Benedict wearing his Papal ring AFTER his resignation. Better still, go find a shot of him wearing it in the presence of Pope Francis. Good luck with that.

"Review:..."

The user with the head full of straw makes Strawman Fallacies. Gotta love the Loads O' Bold "Heavy Headline" tactics. Jimbo/ Mike/ Zecch/ etc. was fond of it too.

"What good are your Latin masses, your communion on the tongue if you don't stand up and defend Jesus Christ when He needs it the most?"

Non-Sequitur Fallacy. Zero relevance to the current papacy.

Benedict is not the Pope. He is not Jesus, either.

"A literal demon was enthroned in the Vatican, and you'd rather defend Bergoglio."

Nope, I'd rather prevent "Benedict Buddies" from spreading their lies, especially when the examples they're providing are ones refuted long ago.

"Examine yourself. You and your fellow poseurs."

Irony coming from you, Jimmy. How many name-changes and multiple accounts is this for you already? :D

Les Crispi not only did pp BXVI not resign, but has decided to keep his power given from God Almighty which untill his death remains valid and untouched by whomever and whatever.
