German Bishops Publish Handout on "Blessing" Mortal Sin

The German bishops published on Dbk.de a four-page guidance on how to "bless" couples in "irregular" situations. By this, they mean adulterers and homosexuals.

Entitled 'Blessings for Couples Who Love Each Other', the text, dated 4 April, implicitely suggests that sin and love are one and the same.

It urges clergy to "express appreciation" for those seeking recognition from Catholic priests.

The guidance refers to the homosexual pamphlet Fiducia Supplicans (2023).

The bishops believe that quite a few of "non-church married couples, divorced and remarried couples, and couples of all sexual orientations and gender identities" want a blessing from the Church.

"Couples who do not wish to enter into a church sacramental marriage, or who are not eligible for one, should be allowed to have blessing ceremonies."

And: "Such a request is an expression of gratitude for their love and an expression of the desire to shape this love through faith," the document says.

The German bishops describe the blessing of sin as "an act of the Church, which places itself at the service of the divine-human encounter".

The German Bishops’ Conference published official guidelines for “BLESSINGS” of GAY “COUPLES,” the divorced and civilly “remarried,” and other irregular unions, following “the pastoral approach of the pontificate of POPE FRANCIS.”

In effect, they are saying to bless Satan. If they only knew the punishment that awaits them but they are blind leading the blind.
