France: They Want to Murder a Priest a Second Time
Abbé Corbillé (1755-1794) was murdered in Bouvron by criminals linked to the French Revolution.
He was an assistant priest in Bouvron. After refusing to take the oath of the "civil constitution of the clergy", he carried out his ministry in secret.
Snitches denounced him. He was arrested by the revolutionary militia and shot in Bouvron, leaning against the wall of the church.
Abbé Corbillé was also the first mayor of Bouvron.
The widow and her daughter, who had hidden him, were arrested and died shortly afterwards in prison. To express their contempt for humanity, the revolutionaries had named the prison "Temple of Humanity".
Abbé Corbillé was buried in the cemetery that surrounded the church. Later the cemetery was moved to its present location and transformed into a square. As the priest was murdered there, the square was named after him.
Now, out of hatred for the Church, the extremist city council has decided to remove this trace of history, using the pretext of "separation of Church and State", despite the fact that the priest was the victim of the criminal state.
