In the past, many times in fact I would dismiss Garabandal immediately for reason you just mentioned.
However considering the state of The Church. I decided to view this documentary so I could become familiar with the events.
I am compelled to think this may have been silenced because it did in-fact warn the faithful about many bad clerics as we now know was/is true

What I see in this video is certainly more than a hoax perpetrated by children.
I am happy I viewed it and recommend it for consideration.

Question for your consideration: Why would OBL want children to perform circus tricks? Referring of course to their ability to seemingly walk backwards without due-care. Don't recall the children of Fatima required to perform such things. Could be the devil was at work in Garabandal. Certainly St. John of the Cross warns the faithful that the devil can, and does imitate apparitions, thus leading …More

Don't recall the children of Fatima required to perform such things. Could be the devil was at work in Garabandal. Certainly St. John of the Cross warns the faithful that the devil can, and does imitate apparitions, thus leading the faithful into error. The good saint also advised that it was better to flee such apparitions even if they appear to 'genuine' and await the Churches decision before committing one's self to the apparitions' veracity. Case in point, Medjugorje.

@Alex A
Good example with Medjugorje.
If video is accurate about supposed message of Garabandal(The Eucharist) It was far different than Medj. The Church was about to Change The Mass and introduce things that would hurt(mild term) Belief in The Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Abuses would also be introduced and legalized (Viz. communion in the hand)
Message would have been very timely.

When I watched the video and viewed "The circus tricks" I was unsure how I felt about them and also wondered. My conclusion is supernatural for sure. Good or other; not natural
yet the event was condemned as a prank of the children (according to the video).
a prank is natural foolery.
That's no prank. I would have been more comfortable if it was condemned on the grounds you stated but that apparently is not why the investigators reject it.
The Church of course is the Authority in all such matters.
After viewing the video I will not be surprised if one day the Church reverses the original pronouncement against it.

@Alex A Why would our lady appear in a dump site and ask a child to eat grass and dirt? Oh wait she did - Lourdes! Guess Our Lady should check with you in the future as to what she is supposed to do or not do.
Alex A
Lourdes, a single child involved in that apparition. Church approved!!!!!! Or don't you understand the difference?????
Alex A
5 times, church commissions have found that there is no credible evidence for the alleged apparitions of
Garabandal.

Started to watch and look forward to viewing all of it.
I am again startled by the numbers of Priests and Nuns that left the Church within 10 years of Vat 2. I mention this because the opener to this gives the numbers of decline after council.
The program opens with a waterfall and asks the question how can such information/message be silenced? Can you stop a waterfall?

I know the reference is to The Message/events in Video. I can easily connect add the following question,
How long will we ignore the destruction that followed Vat 2? Was this event intentionally silenced? Seems to me a fair question to ask in light of our day.
Thanks for posting this.

@rhemes1582 'Blind Freddie' could have predicted the abandoning of religious vocations, after Pope Paul V1 virtually gave 'carte blanche' by easing of Canon Law regulations. In fact, many, many priests and nuns simply 'walked of the job' without even notifying their respective Bishops.- [I was around during the post V2 upheaval, were you?]- After all, it appeared, with good reason, to many …More

In fact, many, many priests and nuns simply 'walked of the job' without even notifying their respective Bishops.- [I was around during the post V2 upheaval, were you?]- After all, it appeared, with good reason, to many religious that their 'role'[s] had been diminished to that of some sort of senior laity. Example, Priest to that of Presides. Have you ever considered that, just maybe, that alleged apparitions like Garabandal have taken the faithful's attention away from the importance of Fatima? The devils cunning, or have you forgotten that? Hence, St. John of the Cross's warning for the laity not to go chasing after every would be heavenly appearance. It is understandable and human, that we all want to make sense of what/why of the Church and the world. The danger becomes that of latching on to anything that appears to support our puny efforts to understand and in the process forgetting, "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?" Romans 11:34

@Alex A
Thanks for all written above.
Yes I was alive during the upheaval, certainly does not qualify Either of us as experts on the subject. I have a devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and have worked to help promote 1st Saturday Devotions. I am aware Of the quote and warning you state as I have read it in both more modern Douay Rheims Holy Bible and 1582 Original Rhemes N.T. St John of the Cross gives excellent advice as many have similar to your quote. I follow that advice.
As I stated above I decided to view the video to become more familiar with the events considering the state of The Church.
Alex A..Have you viewed it? Or are you just upset that I mention Vat2 and the destruction left in it's wake?

So Alex A or Blind Freddie or rhemes1582
We might now all look back, and see clearly the Rot that was there, but certainly Heaven could have chosen to warn us That Vat2 was about to assault The Holy Mass The Breviary and so many other Catholics practices and devotions that would devastate the faith over the next 5 decades.
It is not unreasonable to think that the enemies of The Church would look to silence that message if it were true.
According to the video it is claimed that one of the panel deciding the issue, stated the event was a prank. Does not look like a prank to me
Alex A did you watch the video?
Something supernatural took place there.
Rome has the Last say of course, and I would not be surprised if one day she reverses her decision.

Watched original video clips and read much other material which included the official commission findings, during a time of assisting my daughter [who was a reporter on religious affairs for a provincial newspaper in Ireland, back when] with research, specifically on Marian apparitions, alleged or otherwise. We had also a very good family Priest- Garabandal believer-later to accept that the Church had the final say, not the laity or priesthood. Noticed you completely ignored St. John of the Cross's warning[s] for the laity concerning apparitions. Given the 'mess' our Church is in, surely none of us want to add to it by latching onto that which has not been approved, or do we? Any, enough of my thoughts on the subject. Good luck with whatever you decide on.
