High-Quality Sacred Art to Be Auctioned in France (Photos)

Canon J-C's collection of 550 objects in excellent condition will be sold on 1 October in Aleçon, France, the birthplace of St Thérèse of Lisieux.

Among the objects are religious silverware from the 18th and 19th centuries, a collection of chasubles, liturgical ornaments, souvenirs of Pius IX, the episcopal wardrobe of an archbishop of Bordeaux, reliquary monstrances and paperolles, a number of chapel accessories and devotional objects.

The auction will begin on 1 October at 11 am. No telephone bids will be accepted for objects with an estimated value of less than €200.
