U.S. Archbishop Issues Guidelines Discouraging Kneeling For Communion
On 14 May, Archbishop Shelton Fabre of Louisville, Kentucky, issued a document on the norms for receiving Communion. Entitled 'Norms for Posture and the Communion Rite', it discouraged Catholics from kneeling.
Archbishop Fabre acknowledges that Catholics cannot be denied Holy Communion while kneeling. But he states that, by 22 June, priests should have informed their parishioners that "standing is the norm for receiving Holy Communion".
The archbishop cites a designation of the US bishops' conference from 2002.
He also stated that deacons, altar servers, and other liturgical ministers should observe the normative posture of standing to receive Holy Communion, in order to "model" for the faithful.
Similar statements discouraging kneeling for Communion have been made by other U.S. bishops in recent years.

Meanwhile Bishop Robert Barron is trying to increase sacredness for the eucharist. More confusion. 
I'd love to see how fast he drops to his knees the instant he dies and faces his judgment. Too little too late?
How ludicrous - when Peter threw himself at the feet of our Savior, and cried out, "My Lord, and my God", Jesus did not chastize him or berate him for doing so. Many a saint of the Church would have regularly done what this prelate deems 'abnormal'.
Takes a lot longer to give Communion in the hand to those standing, archbishop. And that's why you need all those "extraordinary" ministers. What a joke!
