Election Integrity as Pro-Life Stewardship Reflections on President Trump’s Address to the Nation We give thanks to the Lord for the preservation of President Trump and for the measure of clarity offered in his primetime Address to the Nation on July 16, 2026. For those of us who have labored in grassroots activism over many years, the speech carried the weight of a historic culmination. My own path in this work began at age sixteen, when I addressed the city council in Beaumont, Texas. That early engagement centered on pro-life concerns, as it has for so many faithful Catholics. The protection of innocent life remains foundational. Without life, there can be no meaningful conversation about governance, technology, or the common good. Yet over time, through the grace of Providence, I came to see that the defense of life itself requires the defense of free and fair elections.
