Apostle? May I ask exactly who appointed him to this rank? The next time Father is shaving his huge double-chin, he might want to recall the words of the real-deal Apostle Paul's letter to the Phillipians about those "whose god is their belly."

@Ultraviolet: do you know how Saint Thomas Aquinas looked like? How artificial it is to judge by appearance? And how loveless and insulting? And btw: who appointed Jesus to his rank as Redeemer. Can He get your approval? (I don't think so when I read your comments).

@The New Knights Templar Even if fr. Rodrigue isn't approved by his bishop (but nowadays that says nothing) it is loveless and insulting to make such remarks about his physical appearances. And concerning the appointment of Jesus: the "bishops" of his time (the scribes and the high priests) did not "approve" Him. One could say the same about fr. Since you asked, and you DID ask @petrus100452 I'll answer your points in turn. I'm going to enjoy this.

"do you know how Saint Thomas Aquinas looked like? "

No. Neither do you, nor anyone else alive today. All we have are a number of different pieces of art. Was this Saint Thomas Aquinas? Or was this? Or this? How about this? Unless you can wager your Salvation on a definitive answer, …More

No. Neither do you, nor anyone else alive today. All we have are a number of different pieces of art. Was this Saint Thomas Aquinas? Or was this? Or this? How about this? Unless you can wager your Salvation on a definitive answer, you don't know what he looked like anymore than I do. Consequently, you don't you have any business using this to defend an obese "apostle/ seer/ whatever"

How artificial it is to judge by appearance?

Unlike books, people choose the covers they wear, both their clothing and their flesh.

And how loveless and insulting?

Remember whom your addressing?

And btw: who appointed Jesus to his rank as Redeemer.

That isn't a question. :P But since you've volunteered to be tonight's academic punching bag, spiritually, God and The Paraclete. As for the actual term, it's derived from several of St. Paul's letters.

Can He get your approval?

He doesn't need it. Protip: Jesus wasn't a fatty, either. Unlike Saint Thomas Aquinas, we most assuredly do know what Christ looked like thanks to The Shroud of Turin.

He also wasn't a bogus seer with a nonsensical theology either. This guy is. Now that I've finished answering your questions, I have a few of my own based on this comment of yours..

One could say the same about fr. Rodrigue: God appointed him as His prophet. A matter of faith (in both cases).

Do you speak for God now? If not, then on what grounds can you say "God appointed him as His prophet?" How do you explain God appointing a prophet whose message runs contrary to both the Old and New Testament?
