Schneider: Francis Like Luther, Contradicts Church Teaching

Francis said at the August 18 General Audience that he observes God’s Commandments “but not as absolutes, because I know that what justifies me is Jesus Christ”(video here)- as if justification in Christ could happen bypassing the commandments.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider responded on LifeSiteNews.com that Francis’ statement “contradicts the teaching of the Church and is very much a kind of [cheap] sola fide teaching of Martin Luther.”

He quotes the Catechism of the Catholic Church (2072): “The Ten Commandments are fundamentally immutable, and they oblige always and everywhere. No one can dispense from them.”

Francis believes that keeping the Commandments has no bearing on your justification in Christ: It’s just an “encounter” thing.

Did he ask people to take the jab! A leader of a church

Another point of view: a friend who is a Missouri Synod Lutheran pastor told me that no Lutheran of his synod would agree with this statement of Francis's. " What Francis is expressing here is actually not Catholic, nor Christian, from our perspective."

That's assuming your Lutheran friend is telling the truth, which like many Lutherans he almost certainly isn't.
"no Lutheran of his synod would agree with this statement of Francis's.."
Did he ask every Lutheran in his "synod" if they agreed? You know, like during a poll? :P If not, then, he's making it up as he goes. This is what you get for taking heretics at their word.More

I know the guy. He's telling the truth, and he certainly knows the general beliefs of the members of his synod. He receives several Hail Mary's from me, for his conversion. Now I'll say one for you, so that you won't be so smug in certainly about someone you don't know. (Just finished the Hail Mary.)

What is absolute to you Pope Francis ? The Pachamama ?

Marxism, and what they often call "the inevitability of history".

The only thing absolute to Bergolio is that you should take the vaccine.

LifeSiteNews: Archbishop Viganò went even further in a recent statement calling Pope Francis a “non-Catholic Pope.” 👍 👍 👍

As Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich warned about a non-Catholic Pope (apostate bishop) who would lead the anti-church of darkness to eternal perdition.

Pope Francis is probably in schism!

Luther: “If adultery could be committed in faith, it would not be a sin “? (Cf. Möhler, “Symbolik”,§16.) It seems very likely to me that Bergoglio is a Lutheran.
De Profundis
Maybe Francis has so many nasty villains around him and creeps, weirdos and perverts associated with him because they don't respect moral absolutes either.
DefendTruth
Only one who thinks that Man is incapable, even with Grace, of stopping sinning, would surround himself with pervs.

Siri, show me the bit in Vatican II documents where it says the moral law need not be regarded in absolute terms if Jesus Christ has justified you.

We must increase our prayers for the church & the world, if we don't evil leaders will continue to rule, both inside the church & the world. May God help his faithful stay strong during these very dark times.

O Lord, free us from situational ethics! "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who change darkness into light, and light into darkness, who change bitter into sweet, and sweet into bitter!" (Isaias 5:20)
