Benedict XVI Suffers From Facial Infection, Has Chosen Burial Place

Benedict XVI, 93, is “very frail,” his biographer Peter Seewald told Pnp.de after meeting him on Saturday. The paper calls him “critically ill.”

According to Seewald, Benedict XVI is suffering from a painful facial infection provoked by bacteria (Erysipelas). It can spread to other areas of the body, cause lymphatic damage or develop into a "flesh-eating" condition.

Yet, Benedict is optimistic and said that he could again write something after recovering.

He has written his spiritual testament which will be published posthumously. As his final resting place he has chosen the first tomb of John Paul II in Saint Peter's.

Antisedevacanists have painted themselves into a corner. What breaks my heart is that they are so well meaning, but they can't see how their religion is mutating step by step precisely due to their rejection of the Sedevacantist theological position.

Assumption on your part and readily disproven by the dogged tenacity of traditionalists during the long decades before BXVI's gracious Summorum Pontificum.

That "mutation" has been in effect since at least Vatican Council II and certaintly accelerated by the disastrous reforms implemented citing its "spirit".

For decades now, Catholics (clergy included) have been all-too-willing to overlook instances of possible apostasy and error in previous papacies which have led to the current worsening situation.

What's unquestionable is your ignorance, matched only by your inability to defend your position with anything beyond an argumentum ad nauseam fallacy.
"I refuse to believe a man as smart as he could done something so stupid."
Benedict cited his failing health as a basis for his resignation. There is nothing stupid about that.

"God has shown it to all of us through Canon Law and B16's own actions."

If you try citing either, I will make you eat it. ;-) Fair warning.

"Whatever your motivation is here with your comment, and I suspect it has nothing to do with a concern for the Church, it is moot."

My motivation is the truth.

The truth is the only resignation Benedict's fanboys will ever accept is the one he didn't make. Everything else, no matter how many times he's re-stated -yes- he really DID resign, gets picked at by clowns like you trying to show the contrary.

Your supsicions are your own and as unsupported as the rest of your asinine claims.. Protip: before you start choking on Canon Law, you'd better go look up what "moot" means first. ;-)
