1 Kings 17:7-16“The jar of flour shall not go empty, nor the jug of oil run dry.”
This is a good image of God’s providence, but also of God’s grace and love, which continues to be poured upon us.
Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth.”
This refers to the flavor that salt gives. It is an image that Jesus conveys so that we may understand that the flavor of God’s grace is 100%.
