In 1950s Spain, a young orphan boy living with monks discovers a wooden Jesus figure in the monastery's attic. After sharing his bread with it, a miracle occurs, leading him to make a heartfelt wish.

Watched that film when I was a postulant to the Carmelites in France. In French.. On an overhead projector. One of the sisters, also a postulant had her birthday that day, and requested it. It was the only time we did something like that the whole time I was there (14 months), other than watching a film about St Teresa of Avila..
I owned two videos. One in Spanish the other in English. Well as you know I love all truth and refuse to hear and listen to lies. My family and I when I was young use to watch this every time they showed it on tv. About a couple of decades or less ago, I found out it wasn't a true story. So I gave the videos away. Then I regretted it because I should have watched it as just another beautiful move. Now I watch it on yt from time to time. I wanted to share it with others. I love the end. It gets to me a lot.
Poor yuca. I said that. I found out it wasn't true and I gave away two video's of the movie. One in Spanish, one in English. Then I regretted it. Once again you see and believe what you want to see and believe. If I didn't like the movie, which I do very much, would I have posted it to share with others to enjoy it as much as I do? I can't help it if I love Truth so much. It's from GOD! Or don't you know that?
