Better that GREAT terror should have struck his heart all of a sudden-like - and that grabbing his Rosary (& kissing a Crucifix owned by Pope St Pius X fervantly) he shot quivering under his bed to pray his dusty hand signed by Pius X …More

Better that GREAT terror should have struck his heart all of a sudden-like - and that grabbing his Rosary (& kissing a Crucifix owned by Pope St Pius X fervantly) he shot quivering under his bed to pray his dusty hand signed by Pius X (AND 100% LATIN) Psalter all night long until the morning dew settled upon the Vatican grass. 😇

@Caroline03 I'm not qualified to speculate on Pope Francis' musings. Very likely, as with most people who were indoors at the time, he didn't even notice. These aren't as unusual as they might seem. It's the "light pollution" from big cities that masks many similar meteor trails. Now it takes a really big one to attract any notice. But once you go out into the country... far enough away so you can't …More

It's the "light pollution" from big cities that masks many similar meteor trails. Now it takes a really big one to attract any notice. But once you go out into the country... far enough away so you can't even see the glow of a city on the horizon in the dark, these "falling stars" become quite common. Especially once your eyes are fully dark adapted.
