German Diocesan Judge Dismissed for Warning against Homosexual Sin
Father Mettler is a member of the Order of the Missionaries of the Holy Family. He had served as an official in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from 2010 to 2019. Then, he relocated to Münster, where he had worked as a diocesan judge dealing with matrimonial matters since 2020.
Catholics removed from office
The German Synodal and Diversity Church removed Fr Mettler from his position after receiving a single press inquiry from Wp.de regarding an article published on 23 September.
Spokespersons from three German dioceses — Münster, Essen, and Paderborn — distanced themselves from Father Mettler.
Pro-homosexual and other sacrilegious events have occurred in all three dioceses, but these have never resulted in personnel consequences or dismissals.
What Father Mettler Has Revealed
Already in November 2024, Fr Mettler wrote about homosexuality on CommunioVeritatis.de. The title was On necessary resistance. Why the Church must oppose the ideology of LGBTIQ+.
He noted that, within just thirty years, homosexuality had been reinterpreted as a characteristic of human dignity despite having previously been a criminal offence. Fr Mettler added that this was achieved through the manipulation of language, the concealment of figures, and threats against those who held different views.
The consequences of a homosexual lifestyle were denied. "Due to the sexual practices common among homosexuals, serious physical illnesses, infections, wounds, or damage to bodily structures occur very frequently. Homosexuals also have a substantially higher risk of developing certain emotional problems, including suicidal tendencies, severe depression, and anxiety neurosis," he explained.
And: "It borders on naivety and cowardice how large sections of politics, science, society, and the church have hastily and obligingly surrendered to this strategy and thus helped to create the conditions for a profound change in society."
The Church is part of this manipulation, Fr Mettler regretted: "In Germany, too, seminarians are leaving the Church's training centers; they are still looking for orders where they will not be confronted with gay subcultures, or they are giving up their vocation altogether."
"By actively promoting, even favoring, homosexual candidates, the Church itself has taken a decisive step toward the homosexualization of the clergy."
Father Mettler also exposed the abuse scandal as a "homosexuality scandal."
