These masks were designed to be effective for a short time of wear (such as a physician during surgery).

From what I have seen, few surgeons use these masks for very long and rely on alternatives (the doctor that patched up my broken leg had an active - pressurized mask).

These were not intended to be lived in for a full days work.

Also, I refuse to wear a provided mask. I have an N95 activated carbon mask and a full face mask (intended for use in tasks like auto painting). If they feel my N95 with activated charcoal is insufficient, I wear this.

All are far more than needed and neither work for viruses. But, we are not managing a virus with these masks... we are managing self enforced fear driven ignorance.
