TROUBLES AHEAD? - Vatican Wants to Know About Old Rite

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith sent out a survey to all bishops on the application of the 2007 Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum which allowed the Old Latin Mass, Rorate-caeli.…

My own take is they want to go back to JPII days when the Bishop had control over who and when and where, or if, the Traditional Mass was offered. Our success is the problem, what was thought at first to be a concession to a few nostalgic older Catholics, has turned out to be a youthful movement of gigantic. Proportions.

God will intervene soon, Jesus came not to condemn the world but save it...all of his enemies in the church and around the world, WILL BE HIS FOOT STOOL!!!

"4. Are the norms of Summorum Pontificum respected?" I'd love to read the replies from Bishops who, to this day, still refuse to allow TLM in their diocese.

Trouble Ahead? Yes, much trouble. When in times of trouble , we must turn increasingly to prayer. It certainly is not news that the vast majority of the hierarchy and of course the pontiff have a visceral dislike of anything regarding Tradition with a capital T and tradition with a lower case t. .

The strategy of this Pope regarding use of the 1970 missal has not changed. It has been to isolate rather than oppose those who want the TLM. Francis thinks that those who want Latin are motivated by nostalgia, so waiting for that generation to die off will solve the problem. Francis thinks that those who want Latin are motivated by nostalgia, so waiting for that generation to die off will solve the problem. The pope doesn't realize that attendance and sympathy with the TLM is growing rather than declining, and from what I've seen as many as 50% weren't even alive in 1970. The FSSP and SSPX are among the few groups of priests in the West with the number of priests increasing.

What is declining is attendance at Novus Ordo masses. Francis is a 1970s Jesuit. Like any good liberal ideologue, he refuses to let facts influence his ideas.

My opinion is that the results will be kept secret. It will be claimed that the majority of the Bishops want an end to the Tridentine Latin Mass while in actuality the results will show the opposite. That is how Francis functions - total deception - destruction of everything he touches.

Does it respond to a need or is it promoted by a single priest. ? Pardon? The Mass is the Celebration instituted by Christ himself. The need it to worship God in a dignified and meaningful way, the way that He taught. That's the need.

Positive aspects; it respects Tradition, it is fitting worship, it draws the body of worshippers to a deep respect and awe of His Majesty, it offers an unbloody sacrifice to God.
Negative aspects; well, it's the closest to heaven in this life but unfortunately the devil wants very badly to do whatever he can to distract us and to diminish the number of faithful in attendance.
