Francis wants Apostolic Visitations in Roman Dicasteries as a regular practice in every Congregation when it undergoes a change of leadership, MarcoTosatti.com reports (June 9).
Tosatti writes about the ongoing Visitation in the Congregation for the Clergy run by the anti-Catholic Cardinal Stella, 79, who was – as Tosatti puts it - a “Lavrentiy Beria, according to many.” Beria was the head of Stalin's brutal security apparatus.
Stella undertook a radical purge of his Congregation which was directed against anyone suspected of having sympathies for the Catholic faith, or for the Congregation's prior management led by Cardinal Piacenza, whom Francis demoted and shipped to the Apostolic Penitentiary.
As Stella's potential successor Tosatti names Madrid Pachamama-Cardinal Osoro, one of Francis’ trusted figures.
