Rev Josef Grünwidl, 62, is the next Archbishop of Vienna, multiple Austrian outlets report today. He is expected to be officially announced by Pope Leo XIV within the next few days. He was a member of the notorious 'Priests' Initiative' that luanched in 2011 a "Call to Disobedience" to Church laws.

Early life and ministry
Josef Grünwidl was born on 31 January 1963 in Hollabrunn, Lower Austria. Originally dreaming of becoming a musician, he studied organ before discerning a vocation to the priesthood. He was ordained a priest on 29 June 1988 in St Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna, by Cardinal Franz König.
From 1995 to 1998, he served as personal secretary to Archbishop Christoph Schönborn.

Known for his pastoral approach and openness to dialogue, Grünwidl was once associated with the so-called “Priests’ Initiative”, a reform-minded movement that drew controversy in 2011 with its “Call to Disobedience” over Church discipline and celibacy.

I wonder if anyone has calculated how many enemies of God and the Church Leo XIV appointed to high positions in just five months? It seems to me he's already surpassed Francis.
And, don't forget, he, Bob Riggitano-Prevost did a big job even before. As the one who appointed a lot of those 'dearest ones' to many episcopal positions all over the world.

If a woman has given birth to the eternal Word of God,
Why should she not proclaim that Word from the pulpit?
If a woman kissed the feet of Jesus,
Why should women not be able to kiss the altar?
If a woman went before the disciples as an apostle,
why should they not also be called to follow in the apostolic ministry?
They already kiss the babies which God has gifted to us...there is nothing to compare with that...kissing the altar is kissing the relics embedded there...the mothers don’t require relic kissing...They’ve already been given the most Holy job imaginable!
Our Lady is not just any ‘woman’. She was chosen by God the Father and She didn’t feel the need to go around proclaiming anything.

Women already have the most elevated and amazing role to play in the church…not only because of the Mother of Jesus, who in her own words is the immaculate Conception…conceived without original sin…but also because they are the carriers of new life into the world. Who else has that privilege?…When a woman fulfils that role, either by being a spiritual mother… to everyone around her or by actually carrying the baby in her womb and nurturing it until it’s able to fulfill its life goal, she is truly kissing the altar. Her job is not to compete with the man but to work with man to fulfil their roles as the carriers of life on earth, the participants in the mystery of life. Who else has that privilege….
Some have red blood in their veins and then there people with rainbow colored blood. All for the sake of tolerance and inclusion.
