Apostatised Benedictine Prior Pseudo-Marries Man Twenty Years His Junior

Anselm Bilgri, 67, the former prior of the Benedictine Andechs Monastery ("Andechs Beer") will pseudo-marry a male Railway Official on 12 March, German media report.

Bilgri apostatised in December to the "Old Catholics" who are dying out in Germany. He was a Benedictine for 30 years and revamped the monastery brewery and restaurant (“Stüberl”) in Andechs when he was the prior.

His pseudo-marriage will be officiated by a long-time friend, Munich mayor Dieter Reiter, 62, a socialist.

Bilgri already considered himself homosexual in the monastery, he told Bild.de, "But now I no longer have the feeling of being sinful." Notwithstanding Bilgri's feelings, homosex is according to the Bible one of the five sins that cry out to heaven for vengeance (cf. CCC 1867).
