Nun Stops Police (Pictures)

Clashes between supporters of the old and new government in Myanmar have been fierce after the February 1 coup d'état in the country.

During a February 28 riot against the new government, police forces were arresting, beating people, and sometimes even shooting at them.

Yangon Cardinal Charles Bo reports on Twitter.com about Sister Nu Thawng who begged the police on her knees not to shoot civilians. About 100 of protestors escaped because of the nun.
