Morning Prayer
Lord, in the silence of this dawning day, I come to ask you for strength, wisdom,
peace. I want to look at the world today with eyes full of love; to be patient,
understanding, gentle and prudent; to see beyond appearances your children as you see them, and thus only see the good in each one. Close my ears to all slander.
Guard my tongue from all evil. May my spirit be filled only with blessings.
May I be so kind and joyful that all who approach me feel your presence. Clothe me inwardly in your beauty, Lord, and may I reveal you to all throughout this day. Amen.
Night Prayer
Lord, thank you for this day. Thank you for the small and great gifts that your goodness has placed in our path at every moment of this journey.
Thank you for the light, for the food, for the water, for the work, for this roof.
Thank you for the beauty of your creatures, for the miracle of life, for the innocence of children, for the friendly gesture, for love. Thank you for the surprise of your presence in every being. Thank you for your love that sustains and protects us, for your forgiveness that makes us grow. Thank you for the joy of having been useful, of having served humanity, those around us. May we be better tomorrow. We want, before falling asleep, to forgive and bless those who hurt us today.
Bless, Lord, our rest, our bodies, our families and friends. Bless, from now on, our tomorrow. Thank you! Good night, Lord!
Prayer for Couples
Thank you, Lord, for the love that unites us! Bless, Lord, this love, so that it may be, each day, newer and more creative! New, to always start again and with more enthusiasm; new, to sustain us in times of crisis and difficulty; creative, to understand the people who walk beside us; Creative,
to extend a hand to needy brothers and sisters. New and creative, to be a transformative force in the society in which we live. New and creative, to be a source of peace, harmony, and children of God, free and conscious. Bless,
Lord, all couples who trust in you, who trust in love and in a better world. Amen.
