I read this too. I read that Roncalli was a freemason, and that in 1958 it was Siri who was actually elected Pope, not Roncalli. Buthe refused because the French and German cardinals whined that Siri was too anti-Communist like Pius XII and that would hurt the Church in Eastern Europe. That was such B.S.
